Solenostemon scutellarioides 'Skeletal'
'Skeletal' lives up to its name with uniquely lobed, fishbone-style leaves that create dramatic texture and high visual impact. This striking coleus adds architectural flair to containers, hanging baskets, or shady garden beds, and also thrives as an unusual and envy-inducing houseplant.
Its bold form pairs beautifully with both vibrant bloomers and other foliage plants, offering year-round interest indoors or out. Easy to grow and shade-tolerant, Skeletal is a true conversation piece for plant lovers.

Coleus Care Tips
- Light: Thrives in partial shade to full shade, though many modern varieties handle full sun well. Too much direct sun can bleach the foliage; too little shade can dull the color.
- Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry — coleus wilts fast but bounces back quickly with a good drink.
- Soil: Prefers rich, well-draining soil. Amend with compost at planting for lush, full growth.
- Fertilizer: Feed every 2–3 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer to encourage vigorous, colorful foliage.
- Pinching: Pinch back stem tips regularly to keep plants bushy and full. Remove any flower spikes as soon as they appear — flowering signals the plant to decline, and removing them extends the season significantly.
- Temperature: Loves heat but is frost-sensitive. Plant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and bring containers inside before temps drop in fall.
- Hardiness: Grown as an annual in most climates; perennial in zones 10–11.
Order & Shipping Info:
-Plants ship in a grower's pot, fully rooted.
-We ship every Monday and Tuesday (excluding holidays) to avoid weekend delays.
-Our photos show what you can expect, but each plant is unique and may look slightly different upon arrival.
-Minor damage during shipping is entirely normal and should be expected, especially in extreme summer or winter temperatures. Don’t worry—damaged foliage can be trimmed away and will not affect the plant's root system or overall health.
-Hold off on watering if the soil is still moist, and wait 2-4 weeks before repotting or fertilizing. This patience will help your plant adjust smoothly without going into shock.
