Eucalyptus pulverulenta 'Baby Blue'

Baby Blue is a truly unique plant that brings both structure and elegance to your indoor or outdoor space. Its perfectly round, blue-gray leaves, approximately 1 inch in diameter, grow in pairs along a strong, upright stem. Not only is its foliage visually striking, but it also releases a fresh, invigorating scent that makes it as functional as it is beautiful. For an added touch of charm, this plant may reward you with creamy-white flowers in the fall and spring.

Eucalyptus Basic Care: Hard

  • Light:  Eucalyptus thrives in bright, direct light. A south-facing window with no obstructions is ideal for ensuring steady growth. West-facing windows are also suitable, though you may need to rotate the plant periodically to encourage even growth. If natural light is insufficient, supplemental grow lights can provide the intensity this plant requires.
  • Water:  Maintaining consistent soil moisture is key for a happy Eucalyptus. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings, but never let it dry out completely. If your pot has drainage holes, water until it runs out the bottom, but don’t let the plant sit in standing water—this can lead to root rot. For pots without drainage holes, water sparingly to prevent over-saturation.
  • Soil:  A well-draining soil mix is essential to keep Eucalyptus roots healthy. We recommend Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix for its balanced properties. If overwatering is a concern, incorporate 20% perlite into the mix to improve aeration and drainage.
  • Fertilizer:  During its active growing season in spring and summer, Baby Blue Eucalyptus appreciates monthly or bi-monthly feedings with a balanced fertilizer, such as Jack’s Houseplant Special. In the cooler months, reduce fertilizing to once every other month to match the plant’s slower growth rate.
  • Temperature and Humidity:  This plant prefers temperatures between 65–75°F and tolerates average household humidity levels. Keep it away from cold drafts or overly dry air, such as near heating vents, to prevent stress.
  • Pruning and Maintenance:  Prune as needed to shape the plant or remove any yellowing leaves. Regular pruning also encourages fresh, healthy growth and maintains its striking appearance. Cut stems can be used in floral arrangements, as they retain their scent and color beautifully when dried.
  • Uses:  Eucalyptus 'Baby Blue' isn’t just an ornamental beauty—it’s also popular for its aromatic foliage, perfect for drying and adding to wreaths, bouquets, or potpourri. Whether used as a houseplant, patio accent, or cut foliage for crafts, it’s a versatile addition to any collection.

Order & Shipping Info:
-Plants ship in a grower's pot, fully rooted.
-We ship every Monday and Tuesday (excluding holidays) to avoid weekend delays.
-Our photos show what you can expect, but each plant is unique and may look slightly different upon arrival.
-Minor damage during shipping is entirely normal and should be expected, especially in extreme summer or winter temperatures. Don’t worry—damaged foliage can be trimmed away and will not affect the plant's root system or overall health.
-Hold off on watering if the soil is still moist, and wait 2-4 weeks before repotting or fertilizing. This patience will help your plant adjust smoothly without going into shock.

Important:

  • Report any order issues the day they arrive by messaging us on Etsy or emailing info@magicvalleygardens.com with a photo. After 24 hours, no refunds, returns, or exchanges—no exceptions.
  • We guarantee plants arrive alive but can’t promise long-term success due to plant nature.
  • Refunds are case-by-case. Many plants recover with proper care, so refunds may not be needed.

The eucalyptus plant arrived completely shriveled. The soil was damp, but I think the plant will not bounce back.

Would rate 0 starts if i could!!
So disappointed with my experience. I have ordered plants from multiple sellers and have never received anything as poorly taken care of as this. When i reached out to the seller, i was rudely told that i should have purchased the “arrive alive-guarantee.” Never in my life have i had to purchase a form of insurance for a plant. This is ridiculous. Do not recommend unless you love bad experiences.

plant had dried spots and had been cut on tops. I will be surprised if it makes it. I am not going to bother returning it since the seller sent me a text after I purchased and wanted to charge me $5.00 for a heat pack. She can keep my money and join Scrooge for poor quality products and customer service!

Be sure to read the update! I received my plants today. It was very fast shipping. The eucalyptus plant looks like it was packaged well and didn’t sustain any damage in shipping. However the plant appears to be very dry, despite the dirt and roots being moist. It has several leaves with brown on them. I repotted and watered it so i’m hoping it springs back to life soon.

Update: Plant was completely dried and dead by day 2. I contacted the seller and reported what I found, despite as much tender love and care I could provide. The seller is refusing to send a new plant and refusing to refund so I would highly recommend buying from a different seller. I even paid the extra fee for guaranteed live delivery. Jokes on me. Very disappointing.

The eucalyptus arrived dry and basically dead. that isn’t was upsets me, what upsets me is that i can’t receive a replacement plant even though it was dead upon arrival. ive bought tons of plants off Etsy that are currently thriving and this was by far my worst experience. As a shop owner myself, i hate to leave negative reviews because i know things happen, but If i ever have an issue i resolve said issue for free.

Very very disappointed with this seller. I order a live eucalyptus and even paid extra to make sure arrive alive. I received the plant on Friday afternoon it was more dead than alive, I took a picture of the plant and hope it will get better somehow. I reported it on Monday and sent pictures of how dead the plant was when I received it. The seller refuse to send me a replacement back even though I pay extra for a warranty. Don’t buy from this seller if you don’t want to lose your money.,

I have been a repeat customer of SnakeRiverGarden's until now, having spent nearly $100 in less than six months at the shop. I was pleased with all the products I'd received, until the eucalyptus plant I'd ordered died within three weeks of arrival, despite copious watering and full sunlight as instructed.

I own over 40 plants and am an experienced plant owner. When I raised this issue with SnakeRiverGardens, they refused to send me a new plant or provide any help with the situation, noting that I hadn't asked for help sooner with the plant.

I'm disappointed that a shop that charges such high fees for their plants has such low regard for their customers once the product has left their shelf. If you value quality and respectful exchanges from Etsy merchants, take note to spend your money elsewhere.

Item arrived green and looked like a new leaf (?) had even bloomed recently. I took it outside for some fresh air but only in the shade as it was nearly 100° that day. Was only outside in the shade for 2 hours. Then I brought it inside and sat it in front of a window. Watered appropriately, even gave some plant food and plant “vitamin C.” It arrived on a Saturday and was dried out and dead by Wednesday :( So sad. Was really hoping to have a eucalyptus plant growing for the house.
