Philodendron 'Tortum' is an uncommon tropical aroid prized for its extraordinary, deeply divided foliage. Philodendron 'Tortum' Basic Care: Easy to Medium

Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Water thoroughly and allow excess moisture to drain away. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.

Light: Thrives in medium to bright indirect light. Bright filtered light encourages vigorous growth and helps the plant develop larger foliage. Avoid harsh direct afternoon sunlight.

Soil/Drainage: Use a chunky, well-draining tropical or aroid mix. Potting soil amended with orchid bark and perlite provides excellent drainage and airflow around the roots.

Temperature/Humidity: Prefers temperatures between 65–85°F with moderate to high humidity. It can adapt to average household conditions but appreciates additional humidity.

Feeding: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.

Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when the plant becomes rootbound. Choose a container only slightly larger than the existing pot and make sure it has adequate drainage.

Support: Provide a moss pole, coco pole, trellis, or similar vertical support as the plant develops. Letting it climb encourages stronger growth and more impressive mature foliage.

General Tips: Give 'Tortum' plenty of room for its finely divided leaves to spread without becoming tangled with neighboring plants. Like other Philodendrons, it contains calcium oxalate crystals and should be kept out of reach of pets and small children who may chew or ingest the foliage.
