Philodendron 'Silver Stripe' Basic Care: Easy
Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Water thoroughly and allow excess moisture to drain away. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.
Light: Provide medium to bright indirect light. Bright filtered light helps maintain strong cream and silver variegation, while lower-light conditions may produce greener foliage. Avoid harsh direct afternoon sunlight.
Soil/Drainage: Use a loose, well-draining tropical or aroid potting mix. Adding orchid bark and perlite improves drainage and airflow around the roots.
Temperature/Humidity: Prefers temperatures between 65–85°F with moderate humidity. It adapts well to average household humidity but appreciates slightly higher humidity for lush growth.
Feeding: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when the plant becomes rootbound. Choose a container only slightly larger than its current pot and always provide adequate drainage.
General Tips: Pinch or prune longer vines to encourage fuller, bushier growth. 'Silver Stripe' can be allowed to trail naturally or trained up a moss pole or trellis. Stem cuttings root readily, making it easy to propagate and add back into the pot for an even fuller display.

-Our photos show what you can expect, but each plant is unique and may look slightly different upon arrival.
-Minor damage during shipping is entirely normal and should be expected, especially in extreme summer or winter temperatures. Don’t worry—damaged foliage can be trimmed away and will not affect the plant's root system or overall health.
