Philodendron 'Orange Marmalade' Basic Care: Easy to Medium

Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Water thoroughly and allow excess moisture to drain away. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.

Light: Provide bright, indirect light to encourage healthy growth and vibrant coloration. Insufficient light may result in greener foliage, while harsh direct afternoon sun can scorch the leaves.

Soil/Drainage: Use a chunky, well-draining tropical or aroid mix. A combination of quality potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite provides good drainage and airflow around the roots.

Temperature/Humidity: Prefers temperatures between 65–85°F with moderate to high humidity. It can adapt to average household humidity but appreciates additional humidity for lush growth.

Feeding: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.

Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when the plant becomes rootbound. Choose a container only slightly larger than its current pot and always provide adequate drainage.
