Headliner Night Sky Petunia
Petunia 'Headliner Night Sky'
Deep, velvety purple blooms splashed with starry white speckles — 'Night Sky' looks like someone captured the galaxy and planted it in a pot. The striking celestial pattern is one of those things you have to see in person to fully appreciate, and no two blooms are exactly alike, making every plant a completely unique display.
Medium vigor and a full, mounding habit fill containers and hanging baskets beautifully without taking over. Large flowers and vivid contrast hold strong from spring through fall with minimal maintenance — just give it sun and let the show begin.

Petunia Care Tips
- Light: Petunias thrive in full sun — at least 6 hours of direct sun daily. More sun means more blooms. Plants in shade tend to get leggy and produce fewer flowers.
- Water: Water thoroughly and regularly, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid overhead watering when possible — wet foliage can invite disease. Container petunias dry out fast and may need daily watering in peak summer heat.
- Soil: Prefers rich, loose, well-draining soil. Amend beds with compost at planting and use a quality potting mix for containers.
- Fertilizer: Heavy feeders — feed every 1–2 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer or a bloom-boosting formula. Consistent feeding is the single biggest factor in keeping petunias blooming strong all season.
- Deadheading: Remove spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering. Wave and spreading varieties are largely self-cleaning, but most other types benefit from regular deadheading.
- Pinching: If plants get leggy mid-season, cut them back by one-third to reinvigorate growth and trigger a fresh flush of blooms within a few weeks.
- Pests: Watch for aphids, slugs, and budworm. Budworm in particular can devastate blooms — look for chewed or missing flower buds as an early sign.
- Hardiness: Grown as an annual in most climates; perennial in zones 10–11. Plant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed.
Order & Shipping Info:
-Plants ship in a grower's pot, fully rooted.
-We ship every Monday and Tuesday (excluding holidays) to avoid weekend delays.
-Our photos show what you can expect, but each plant is unique and may look slightly different upon arrival.
-Minor damage during shipping is entirely normal and should be expected, especially in extreme summer or winter temperatures. Don’t worry—damaged foliage can be trimmed away and will not affect the plant's root system or overall health.
-Hold off on watering if the soil is still moist, and wait 2-4 weeks before repotting or fertilizing. This patience will help your plant adjust smoothly without going into shock.
