Goldfish Plant 'Black Gold' Basic Care: Easy

Watering: Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry. Keep the soil lightly moist during active growth, but never let it stay soggy or completely dry out.

Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Bright filtered light encourages abundant flowering, while harsh afternoon sun can scorch the foliage.

Soil/Drainage: Plant in a loose, well-draining tropical potting mix. A blend containing potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite provides excellent drainage and airflow.

Temperature/Humidity: Thrives in temperatures between 60–80°F with moderate to high humidity. While it tolerates average household humidity, increased humidity encourages healthier growth and more prolific blooming.

Feeding: Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
