Anigozanthos ‘Celebrations Masquerade’ is a truly distinctive Kangaroo Paw prized for its unusual blue-green to deep teal flowers accented by contrasting purple stems. Velvety, tubular blooms rise on tall, fuzzy stalks above upright, sword-like green foliage, creating a combination of color and texture unlike almost anything else in the garden.

Part of the Celebrations series, ‘Masquerade’ makes a striking focal point in sunny garden beds, patio containers, and mixed planters. Basic Care:

Light: Provide full sun for the strongest growth, richest flower color, and best blooming. Some partial shade is tolerated, although flowering may be reduced.

Water: Allow the top of the soil or potting mix to dry before watering again. Water thoroughly and allow excess moisture to drain. Avoid consistently wet or soggy soil.

Soil/Drainage: Plant in gritty, highly well-draining soil or potting mix. Excellent drainage is especially important for Kangaroo Paw.

Fertilizer: Apply a small amount of quality slow-release, general-purpose fertilizer around the base in spring and again in fall.

Pruning: Remove spent flower stalks as close to the base as possible once blooming has finished. Older or damaged foliage can also be removed at the base to encourage fresh, tidy growth.

Temperature: ‘Masquerade’ handles heat and periods of drought once established and can tolerate light frost. Protect container-grown plants from prolonged or severe freezing temperatures.
