Anigozanthos ‘Celebrations Carnivale’ is a bold Kangaroo Paw featuring velvety clusters of rich, deep purple tubular flowers held on tall, fuzzy stems. The dramatic blooms rise above upright clumps of blue-green, sword-like foliage, creating an architectural look with exceptional color and texture.

Basic Care

Light: Provide full sun for the strongest growth and best flowering. Some partial shade is tolerated, although flowering may be reduced.

Water: Allow the top of the soil or potting mix to dry before watering again. Water thoroughly, then allow excess moisture to drain. Avoid consistently wet or soggy conditions.

Soil/Drainage: Plant in gritty, highly well-draining soil or potting mix. Excellent drainage is especially important for Kangaroo Paw.

Fertilizer: Apply a small amount of quality slow-release, general-purpose fertilizer around the base in spring and again in fall.

Pruning: Remove spent flower stalks as close to the base as possible after blooming. Older or damaged leaves can also be removed at the base to keep the plant tidy and encourage fresh growth.

Temperature: ‘Carnivale’ tolerates heat, drought, and light frost once established. Protect container-grown plants from prolonged or severe freezing temperatures.
