Anigozanthos ‘Celebrations Jazz’
Anigozanthos ‘Celebrations Jazz’ is a compact Kangaroo Paw featuring dramatic, velvety deep purple blooms accented by vivid red stems. The unusual flowers rise above soft blue-green, sword-like foliage, creating bold color and texture throughout its long blooming season.
Compact and colorful, ‘Jazz’ is an excellent choice for patio containers, mixed planters, and sunny garden beds. Its striking flowers are also highly attractive to hummingbirds and other pollinators. Drought-tolerant once established, this Australian native thrives in full sun with excellent drainage.
Plant Details:
- Height: 14–24"
- Width: 16–20"
- Exposure: Full Sun to Partial Shade
- Bloom Time: Late Winter through Summer
- Foliage: Blue-Green
- Flowers: Deep Purple with Red Accents
- Water Needs: Low to Moderate
- Use: Containers, Patio Planters & Landscapes
Basic Care:
Light: Provide full sun for the strongest growth and best flowering. It can tolerate some partial shade, but flowering may be reduced.
Water: Allow the top of the potting mix or soil to dry before watering again. Water thoroughly, then allow excess water to drain. Avoid keeping the roots consistently wet, especially during cooler weather.
Soil/Drainage: Plant in gritty, highly well-draining soil or potting mix. Good drainage is especially important for Kangaroo Paw, as prolonged wet conditions can lead to root problems.
Fertilizer: Apply a small amount of quality slow-release, general-purpose fertilizer around the base of the plant in spring and again in fall.
Pruning: Once flowers are finished, remove old flower stems as close to the base of the plant as possible. Older or damaged leaves can also be removed at the base to keep the plant tidy and encourage fresh growth.
Temperature: ‘Jazz’ tolerates heat, drought, and light frost once established. Protect container-grown plants from prolonged or severe freezing temperatures.
Order & Shipping Info:
-Plants ship in a grower's pot, fully rooted.
-We ship every Monday and Tuesday (excluding holidays) to avoid weekend delays.
-Our photos show what you can expect, but each plant is unique and may look slightly different upon arrival.
-Minor damage during shipping is entirely normal and should be expected, especially in extreme summer or winter temperatures. Don’t worry—damaged foliage can be trimmed away and will not affect the plant's root system or overall health.
-Hold off on watering if the soil is still moist, and wait 2-4 weeks before repotting or fertilizing. This patience will help your plant adjust smoothly without going into shock.

- Refunds are case-by-case. Many plants recover with proper care, so refunds may not be needed.
