Anigozanthos ‘Bush Pearl’ is a compact Kangaroo Paw featuring vibrant candy-pink tubular flowers held on tall, velvety stalks above tidy clumps of strappy, sword-like green foliage. Basic Care:

Light: Provide full sun for the strongest growth and best flowering. A location receiving plenty of direct sunlight will encourage abundant blooms and sturdy flower stalks.

Water: Allow the top of the soil or potting mix to dry before watering again. Water thoroughly, then allow excess moisture to drain. Once established, ‘Bush Pearl’ is drought tolerant and prefers being slightly dry rather than consistently wet.

Soil/Drainage: Plant in gritty, highly well-draining soil or potting mix. Excellent drainage is especially important for Kangaroo Paw, as prolonged wet conditions can lead to root problems.

Fertilizer: Apply a small amount of quality slow-release, general-purpose fertilizer around the base in spring and again in fall.

Pruning: Remove spent flower stalks as close to the base as possible after blooming. Older or damaged foliage can also be removed at the base to keep the plant tidy and encourage fresh growth.
