Aloe vera

Aloe vera is commonly grown as a houseplant and gained favor because the gel from its leaves makes a soothing skin salve that aides in burn relief. It has thick, succulent leaves that are plumped up with a watery gel. The leaves grow from the base of the plant, in a rosette, and have jagged edges with flexible spines.

• Light:  Filtered Sunlight – This plant needs bright, filtered light with ample airflow so place in front of a window.
• Water:  Not Thirsty – This plant can go several weeks without water so only water it when the soil completely dries out.  
• Tip: This plant needs porous soil with adequate drainage.
