Doryopteris cordata (Antenna Fern)
- Light: Indirect, medium to low light.
- Water: Keep soil moist but not wet or soggy.
- Extras: Likes humidity.
Doryopteris cordata, called the Antenna Fern, is a tropical, evergreen fern displaying lobed, leathery-green foliage. Forms a low, ground-hugging mound except for fertile fronds that stand well above the foliage.
It’s a great choice in a terrarium, as a houseplant or an annual in most landscapes. Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil which is moist but not waterlogged. Prefers bright, filtered sunlight and is excellent as a houseplant or in a seasonal container. Protect from freezing temperatures!
