Considered to be among the easiest and hardiest of houseplants, the coffee plant is great for both experienced or beginner gardeners. If grown in ideal conditions, the coffee plant will produce blooms when it reaches maturity, usually 3 to 5 years. If you hand pollinate the blooms, they will produce the berries that contain coffee beans. This plant will be damaged by drafts so keep away from doors or windows that are opened regularly when its cool.
