Euphorbia trigona rubra
The African Milk Tree has thick, three-sided stalks with spines along its edges. It has cactus-like branches, or arms, that grow upright from the sides of the stalks. Small leaves cover the edges and ends of the actively growing stalks and arms. It is a lush red plant with lighter red and green striations through the stalks. Also known as Royal Red.
- Light: Filtered Sunlight – This plant needs bright, filtered light with ample airflow so place in front of a window.
- Water: Not Thirsty – This plant can go several weeks without water so only water it when the soil completely dries out.
- Tip: This plant needs porous soil with adequate drainage.
